Are you holding anything back?

Have you asked Jesus into your heart but have kept a door closed. If you limit His access, you are limiting your blessing. God Wants Full Access if you want access to all the blessings.

Develop Good Habits

We will probably always have good habits that we should develop and bad ones that we should break. To make it easier try not to develop bad habits while you are young. The longer we practice a bad habit, the harder it is to break. Work on developing good habits and there won't be much room for bad ones.

Read Do You Have Habits That Need To Be Changed? to discover who has the best plan for your life.

Why Is It Safer To Say "NO" To Temptation.

We get tempted to do things just to be accepted by the crowd or maybe as an escape for some problems that we are facing. Often times that temptation comes in the form of drinking alcohol or trying drugs or participating in pre-marital sex. All of these may bring temporary pleasure but in the long run will not solve our problem and will lead to more problems.

It is better to say "NO". The problems we face are only temporary. We can deal with the problem as well as possible and even do some things to help solve it. Either way, when we look back on these times, we will wonder why the problem seemed so big. We do not have to try to escape the problem. Stand up to it and be strong. Look around for those that can help you or that may be having problems of their own. You may find that if you help a friend, your problem won't seem as big anymore.

Don't allow yourself to participate just because others are participating. No matter how small of a taste of these temporary pleasures or thinking just this once, your answer should still be "No". It will not be worth the pain that you will bring into your future and the effect it will have on your family. Participation in these temptations will lead you down the wrong path. Before you know it you will have lost the best years of your life. You think participation in these activities are giving you a "good time" while you are young but they are actually stealing your joy now and even some, if not all, of the joy you could have in your future years. There are so many dreams that will be shattered by your involvement in these temptations. You will look back and wonder where the years went and wonder why you wasted them in this destructive behavior.

We will all endure problems but these temptations will bring problems that we were not created to have. We need to focus on creating a better life for ourselves and future generations. Overcoming the problems we face will make us stronger. If we bring problems into our life trying to escape the ones we already have, the burden gets too heavy and we are crushed. Don't allow yourself to be deceived.

Say "NO" for yourself and your future. This is the one time especially that you should think of yourself. You were created to live above these temptations. Your were created to have a beautiful life. When you look back on the years, you will  be glad you said "NO" for you will remember the joy and you will have not lost a moment in destructive behavior.

Saying "NO" may seem hard at times but once your realize the mistake, escaping the behavior that you have allowed yourself to participate in will be even harder.
